My Awakening: Years in Good Enough 9-5 Jobs
It took years in "good enough" 9-to-5 jobs to realize there had to be more. During this quarter-life crisis, I found my way to meditation and spiritual teachings, reading 50+ books on mindfulness and listening to 500+ hours of podcasts from spiritual teachers like Jack Kornfield and Ram Dass.
Life changed for me when I found the way out of my head into my heart. I realized that the answers had always been there waiting for me to listen to.
I realized that there was MORE to life. I just had to find my WHY.
The Turning Point: A 10-Day Silent Meditation Retreat
When I sat in the middle of a 10-day silent meditation retreat, I had a big revelation: I am more than my thoughts. The real me does not reside in my head that never stops talking and creating misery. It resides in my heart.
The Heart Realization: Your Dream Life Is Not A Fantasy
So I learned to connect with it. I acquired mindfulness tools. Did a training as a meditation teacher & life purpose coach. Learned Journaling techniques. And most of all: I found the courage to finally leave my comfort zone, strip away the self-limiting beliefs and leave my anxiety behind that had always kept me from living my why. Now I am living it.
It’s not just in the movies where people get to live their dreams. It’s possible right here right now.
